The Most Authentic Italian Food In Yogyakarta?
Published September 5, 2026
La Contrada Ristorante Prawirotaman Street Yogyakarta 4K HDR Join me as I head down to Prawirotaman Street to check out La Contrada Ristorante. I heard great things about this spot from a local comment, and it did not disappoint! In this video, I dive into some delicious Lasagna and Spaghetti Bolognese. The lasagna actually had a unique smoky flavor, almost like it was made in a wood-fired grill, definitely some of the most authentic-tasting Italian food I’ve found here in the heart of Jogja. What’s inside: The Food: Authentic Lasagna and Spaghetti Bolognese. The Vibe: Live music featuring classic English songs that really set the mood. The Price: Total bill came to about $13.56 (including a large beer!). Local Insight: Why I’m starting to prefer the Prawirotaman area over Malioboro for its chill atmosphere and music. It does get a little warm inside without AC, but the food and the atmosphere make it a must-visit if you’re in the area.
